The Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection is widespread throughout South Korea, causing major economic and social problems.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the natural disinfectant "BioCleanAct" is effective against the coronavirus and belongs to the pandemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) of the same family as MERS-CoV.
The efficacy test of the disinfectant is carried out in accordance with the "Guidelines for the Efficacy Test of Disinfectants" proposed by the Korean Animal and Plant Quarantine Service.
The natural disinfectant "BioCleanAct" inhibits the replication of Porcine Coronavirus Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) "Wey strain" and "SM98P strain" under hard water and organic matter conditions by 10 times to 100 times.
