One aspect is stability, including UV resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and chemical resistance. Because of the presence of a-H, acrylic esters have lower oxidation resistance and UV resistance than methacrylate resins. Acrylic resin has C-C bond as the main chain, which has very good oxidation resistance, acid and alkali resistance and hydrolysis resistance. On the other hand, it is mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of acrylic resins include extensibility, hardness, toughness, etc. These properties are largely affected by the density of the polymer molecular structure. With the growth of the side chain, the tensile strength and hardness of the acrylic resin will be significantly reduced, and the elongation and flexibility will be significantly increased. Polymethacrylate has a methyl group at the a-position, which limits the rotation of the C-C main chain. There is no α-methyl in polyacrylate, and each chain can rotate around the main chain. This is the reason why polymethacrylate has good hardness and tensile strength, and its softness and extensibility are worse than polyacrylate. .
