This application includes glass steel (glass fiber reinforced various resins), plastic modification (PA, PP and other engineering plastics filling, fiber reinforced, flame retardant, etc.), rubber modification (filled, fiber reinforced, flame retardant, etc.), Low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cable materials, resin sand casting, friction materials, etc.


Adhesion promoter: Improve the adhesion, water resistance, corrosion resistance, and boiling resistance of the resin coating to the substrate (inorganic material, polar resin) through the molecular bridge of the silane coupling agent. Adhesives, sealants and other industries are widely used.


Surface treatment agent and dispersant: Through the surface treatment of silane coupling agent, the surface of inorganic mineral powder, glass fiber, whisker, and pigment is also hydrophilic and oil-repellent, and becomes lipophilic and water-repellent, which improves its performance in organic polymer Dispersion, compatibility and wettability in the medium, improve the rheology of the processed filler, and make the surface of the inorganic filler have a certain reactivity (reaction with a suitable polymer is required). This feature makes silane coupling agent a mainstream surface treatment agent for inorganic mineral powder, glass fiber, whiskers and inorganic pigments.


Crosslinking agent (curing agent): Organofunctional alkoxysilane can react with organic polymers to bind trialkoxysilane groups to the polymer backbone; then it can react with water vapor to crosslink the silane and form a stable Three-dimensional body structure. This mechanism can be used to cross-link plastics (especially polyethylene) and other organic resins (such as acrylic resins and polyurethane glues) to give paints and adhesives durable, waterproof and high-temperature resistance. Typical applications in this regard include vinyl silane used in the production of silane crosslinking agent polyethylene resin, amino silane used as a curing agent for epoxy resin modified silicone resin, and polyurethane sealant can be used as a dehumidifier.


Hydrophobic agent (hydrophobic agent, water repellent, building protection agent): Silane (octyltriethoxysilane) with a hydrophobic organic group on the silicon atom can impart excellent hydrophobic properties to the inorganic surface. It can be on the substrate A dense water-repellent layer is formed on the surface and inside to inhibit water penetration, thereby effectively preventing the erosion of the substrate from water seepage, sunlight, acid rain and seawater, and prolonging the service life of the building.


Metal surface treatment agent (instead of phosphating and passivation process) Silane can form a dense protective film on the metal surface, isolate air and moisture, and improve the anti-corrosion performance of the metal; at the same time, the metal treated with silane can improve the adhesion to the coating . More importantly, the silane technology can realize the coating process without phosphorus, without heavy metals such as nickel, manganese, and chromium, without nitrite carcinogens, and at the same time reduce energy consumption.


Polymerization monomer: The silane coupling agent can be used as a monomer in the copolymerization reaction to participate in the polymerization reaction to prepare organic silicon modified resin, such as vinyl silane and acrylic monomer, styrene monomer for copolymerization to prepare silane-modified acrylic acid Resin.
